Branding & stationary package for Desal Desalination plant

Something we are seeing more and more often is scarce fresh water sources and drought. Global warming is something that is impacting us all. I believe that we should not be panicking about a lack of fresh water but rather, that we should be proactively looking for solutions. One such solution is desalination. The issue with desalination at present is that its a power hog.

I dream of a future in which we have solved the efficiency problem and desalination plants are operational in Countries that need access to fresh water the most.

About the Project

One process for desalination is to flash the water with extreme heat causing it to boil off to the next stage leaving salt behind. This must be done many times in order to remove all the salt from the water. Based on my research, I consider this method the most efficient of the present methods and therefore based my design on this method.

The first half of the logo is representative of the start of the process, cloudy salt water, while the second half represents the end product, pure drinkable water. I applied the logo and design to stationary and promotional materials that an operational plant would likely have.
